




The proportional increase in the numbers of mature age workers and decrease in the number of available younger workers has led most commentators to
predict that there will be a large scale change of attitude in workers.
Younger workers tend to be more mobile. Older workers often have major responsibilities, for
example to elderly relatives and helping out with grand children, and a wish to "give back" to society through voluntary
work. Regardless of age, many workers want more flexibility in their working conditions.
Regardless of age, many workers will be looking for more flexibility in their work lives.
But flexibility is more easily managed when people know what is
expected of them and know how they're doing.
